Ice Age: Collision Course

Written by

The Ice Age francise is by far the largest non Disney or Pixar animation franchise. First releashed in 2002, the Ice Age franchise has since released three more feature animation films, numerous short films, video game titles, soundtracks and even a theatrical presentations. This year Blue Sky Studios is releasing yet another film, the fifth in the series titled "Ice Age: Collision Course" and from the trailers, it looks set to be another great watch if you enjoyed the previous films.

I am an animation fan and I generally get excited about just about any animation film and 2016 has shaped up to be a great year for animation studios creating films. Will films like Ice Age: Collision Course, Zootopia, Moana, Kung Fu Pands 3, Finding Dory, Ratchet & Clank and The Secret Lives of Pets (to name just a few) this sure is going to be a good year for animation fans the world over.

The Secret Life of Pets

Written by

If you are a pet owner, be that of a dog, a cat, a bird or a fish, I am positive you have wondered what they get up to when you are not at home. The Secret Life of Pets, 3D animated comedy film by Illumination Entertainment, will try to answer that for you. Staring Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Steve Coogan, Ellie Kemper, Bobby Moynihan, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks, The Secret Life of Pets looks is another animation that has animals as the main characters and gives the perspective of the world from their and our view.

From the original trailer and more recent released trailers, it looks like this is going to be a fun watch for the whole family. With amazing animations from the creators of Despicable Me and Minions, cracking comedy from the likes of Louis C.K and Kevin Hart and music by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat, this is one animation I am really looking forward to this year.

Hands down, 'Warcraft: The Beginning' is my most anticipated movie, not only of 2016, but of all time. Now that is a very bold statement given the score of incredible films that have been release over the last decade or two which I have thoroughly looked forward to and ultimately enjoyed. So, be it the epic trilogies of The Lord of the Ring and The Hobbit to the most recent Star Wars film, none of all the previous great films released have ever had me as excited as I am about this film adaptation of a video game.

Even though I had read J. R. R. Tolkien's books before watching the films and had seen all the previous Star Wars films before The Force Awakens hit the cinema, none of these (or any other film for that matter) has had a deep and profound personal connection in the way that the Warcraft film will have. Simply put; Warcraft represents a significant chapter of my life and the film will let me read it all over again. An that is epic!
